Licensing Pictures

It's easy to use the picture library and search engine to locate the image you need. Wether you're a professional picture buyer / researcher or you're new to using a picture library, feel free to drop us a line or register for a user account. Our FAQ page has more information on using pictures.

Searching

The library can be searched by category or by keyword search. Keyword searching is very powerful and employs Boolean searching for fast searches. Boolean searching makes it easy for users to run complex and very specific searches which can be useful. For example, searching for 'dog AND cat' will return images with both of the keywords dog and cat while a search for 'dog OR cat' will return any image that has the keyword dog or cat or both. In addition, you can use the 'not' operator to exclude search results. For example, 'dog NOT cat' will find all images which have the keyword dog but not the keyword cat.
